U.S. September 4WD Tractor Sales Up 114%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's (AEM) monthly Report, the sale of all tractors during September 2023 in the U.S. were down 4% from the same month last year. A total of 21,480 tractors were sold which compares to 21,712 sold in 2022.

For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 7% from last year, while 40-100 HP were down 8%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 8%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 114%.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 11% from last year, while 40-100 HP are down 8%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 8%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 43%.

Combine sales in September were even with last year. Year to date sales of combines in 2023 total 5,694, an increase of 25% from the same period in 2022.
