EDITOR’S TAKE:
A mixed report for sure, but surprising strength in April for the big machinery categories. Keep in mind that the three categories which showed sales increases are the most expensive machinery on the planet. The new combines, with headers, are easily over a million dollars each. Farmers are purchasing to assist with a challenging planting season and preparing for fall harvest at the same time. No doubt farmers/ranchers will purchase those items that help improve their overall productivity and efficiency. Those new and qualified used trucks on your lot are a perfect compliment to their plans and operation.
