What Happened to New Equipment Sales?

For 4WD tractors and combines – It’s off the chart. Sales have exploded with 4WD tractor sales up 106% in March 2023 versus the same month in 2022. Year-to-date sales of that same category are up 50.7%, according to the latest sales report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). Combine sales were up 47.1% for same month comparison and YTD was up an astonishing 101.6%! The 100+HP 2WD tractor sales are up 5.2% YTD. Smaller horsepower tractors are still lagging in the market.

This report further supports our belief that farmers have money to spend and are doing just that. The sales figures for 4WD tractors and combines are simply amazing, especially when you consider how much this equipment costs!
