According to Avant Marketing Group’s 2022 Power Brand Study, 60% of surveyed farmers owned a John Deere combine, followed by Case IH at 28.2% and Gleaner at 4%. The study surveyed 400 corn and soybean farmers across 20 Corn Belt states, who were required to have at least 500 tillable acres to participate.
Just 3% of surveyed farmers said they own a Claas combine, another 2.3% said they own a New Holland combine and 3.5% own no combines.
Editor’s Take:
Very interesting breakdown of market share by company, assuming the results can be extrapolated to a larger universe. Nevertheless, the study shows the dominance of the two largest farm equipment manufacturers in the U.S. even when it comes to combines. The bottom line – one company, Deere, stands out as the market leader. And we are very proud and pleased that Deere has signed on as the primary sponsor for AgRally 2023!
